Institute co-hosts Bioterrorism conference with Law Enforcement Instructors Alliance

The Institute for Biosecurity teamed up with the LEIA (Law Enforcement Instructors Alliance) to present Understanding the Terrorist Mind on April 17 on the campus of Saint Louis University.

Law enforcement professionals, along with institutional security managers from the metro St. Louis area gathered to hear Jonathan Bundt, MA, speak about terrorists and terrorism, and how to prepare for and counter terrorist activities.

Mr. Bundt was a member of Israel’s elite Hostage Rescue and Anti-Terrorism unit, the Yaman Unit. He went on to become a Chief Inspector in the Behavioral Science Unit of the Israel National Police. Jonathon is now an active member of the Minneapolis Police SWAT team and a trainer and on-scene support advisor. He has instructed at Northwestern University Center for Public Safety, and has trained members of the FBI.

The Law Enforcement Instructors Alliance (LEIA) is a St. Louis-based law enforcement educational group dedicated to providing “professional development through quality training.” Their website (www.teachcops.com) provides additional information about their work and their upcoming programs.
