Institute Joins in Effort to Secure Department of Homeland Security “Center of Excellence” Grant
The Institute is teaming with Penn State University

Recently, Penn State University invited the Institute to become a collaborating partner in responding to a Department of Homeland Security BAA seeking to establish a Center of Excellence in the Behavioral and Social Aspects of Terrorism and Counter-terrorism.

The Institute’s faculty are being joined in this response by faculty from Saint Louis University’s Department of Political Science and Department of Sociology & Criminal Justice. The Institute’s submission is being strengthened with significant collaborative efforts from senior faculty from the University of Missouri’s School of Journalism and the University of New Mexico’s Institute for Public Policy, directed by Dr. Roger Hagengruber. The Israeli Institute for Counter-Terrorism group, under the direction of Dr. Boaz Gaynor, will also be a major component of this September 30 submission.
